Are there any special requirements regarding the battery when storing the robot?
It depends on how long the robot will be stored.
For short periods (a few weeks or less): no special preparation is needed. The AX-1 uses LiFePO4 batteries, which have very low self-discharge and can be left without issue.
For prolonged storage (such as over winter): the battery must be at the correct voltage before parking the robot. The battery is ready for storage when it reaches 52 V. You can check this in the Kilter Remote app while the AX-1 is on and not connected to charging power: go to Control panel → Diagnostic. If the voltage is below 52 V, charge the battery before storing. During the storage period, check the voltage regularly and recharge as needed.
For the full winter storage procedure, including storage conditions and other preparations, see Winter Storage.
