How do I clean the filters and how often should I do it?

The AX-1 has four filters that require regular cleaning:

  • Suction filter: located at the front of the tank, under the left side cover, in the fluid line before the pump.
  • High-pressure filters: one fine-mesh filter (250 mesh) per spray unit, located at the inlet of each unit on the boom.
  • Tank strainer: sits in the herbicide tank opening and must always be in place during filling and operation.
  • Air filter: located at the air intake on the front of the robot, on the control panel.

As a general rule, inspect and clean the filters every two weeks during the operational season, or more frequently if needed. Clogged filters are often a sign that the spray system cleaning routine needs to happen more consistently.

For the full cleaning procedure for each filter, see the Filters section in Daily use of AX-1.
