What to do if the generator keeps stopping with fuel still in the auxiliary tank
Caution
Take necessary precautions while working with extremely flammable gasoline, take care to reduce hazards due to vapor and liquid exposure. No heat or open flame allowed.
Symptoms
The generator stops even though the extra gasoline tank still has a reasonable level of gasoline left.
Probable cause
Foreign objects in the gasoline tank have led to clogging of the “straw”, ball valve or fuel line tubing.
Tank breather valve is not working properly, clogged or to high level of fuel to enable air to enter the tank while gasoline is removed through the straw.
How to fix
Inspect the inside of the gasoline tank for any foreign objects, dirt and debris, remove any objects so the gasoline tank is clean.

Remove the straw and inspect it and the ball valve in the top for clogging, remove any objects.

Inspect the fuel hose for clogging, remove any objects.
