Power Off

The power off button gives you three options. Below is a description of how the robot responds to the choices.

Restart Application

Performs a soft restart of the application without rebooting the device. This is significantly faster than a full device restart (expected wait time: 5–60 seconds), but may not resolve all issues that a device restart would fix. A software update will not be triggered.

Restart Device

Restarts the robot's main computer. This may trigger an automatic software update, so the expected wait time ranges from 30 seconds to several minutes.

Power Off Device

Powers off the robot's main computer gracefully. Always use this option before switching off the physical power switch to ensure a safe shutdown. Note: this does not power off other connected devices, such as the modem or GPS receiver — use the physical power switch to turn those off.
