Boom Height

In this section you can make changes to the height of the boom. Heights are measured from the bottom of the nozzles to the ground.

  • Spray Nozzle Height: The height setpoint during normal spray operation. The default value is a good compromise between accuracy and keeping a sufficient distance to the plants. Some crops may require a higher setpoint. Note that increasing this value will have a negative impact on spray precision, and external factors such as wind will have a greater negative impact on the precision.

  • Headland Nozzle Height: The height setpoint when the robot reaches the end of the row and enters the headland. The default value is set to handle bumpy terrain in the headland. If your headland area is flat and smooth, you can try to decrease this value to avoid unnecessary lifting and lowering of the boom.

Spray Area

In this section you can define the bounds in which the robots should spray. This is useful in cases where there is vegetation in the headland, and you do not want to waste large amounts of herbicide.

  • Distance from ends: How far the robot should be from the end waypoints of a segment before it starts or stops spraying.

Data Collection

In this section you can enable data collection mode. This is useful for the purpose of collecting images or to test a route without spraying.

  • Data Collection Mode: Turns on the data collection state. This will turn off monitoring from sensors such as system pressure, tank level, charge state and other sensors that are required for spraying. The robot will not spray while this is enabled.

  • Save Images To Disk: Save all images to disk. As the robot saves images automatically to the cloud every 20 seconds (subject to change), this option is only recommended if you want to collect a lot of data. Warning: Do not use this option too often as it consumes large amounts of disk space.

  • Use External Storage For Images: Save images to external disk instead of internal disk. Insert Drive/USB before turning this setting on. Warning Do Not unplug external disk/USB drive while this setting is enabled.
