Kilter develops robots and software that help farmers control weeds more precisely, reduce herbicide use, and improve crop outcomes.
Our technology combines artificial intelligence, robotics, and farm software to apply herbicides only where it is needed, directly on the weeds. The goal is simple: better weed control with less chemical input and less manual work in the field.
The Kilter ecosystem consists of three components that work together:
AX-1: our autonomous weeding robot
Kilter Remote: the mobile app used to control and monitor the robot
Kilter Farm: the cloud platform used for planning and managing operations
Together they form a complete system for planning and executing treatments in the field, and managing all the operations.
The Kilter AX-1 is an autonomous robot that allows farmers to run weed treatments without driving a tractor, in herbs and vegetable crops.
Using cameras and AI models, the robot detects individual weeds among crops. When a weed is identified, the robot applies a few droplets of herbicide directly on the weed, instead of spraying the entire area, moving selectivity from the herbicide itself to the software.
This is made possible by the Kilter patented technology ‘Single Drop Technology’, enables spraying with a resolution of 6 × 6 mm, meaning droplets are placed extremely precisely without touching the crop or soil.
Because the system targets weeds individually, farmers can reduce herbicide use by an average of 96,6% compared to conventional spraying, while maintaining effective weed control.

Kilter Remote is the mobile app used to operate the robot on site (available for iOS and Android devices). The app connects directly to the AX-1 via the robot’s local Wi-Fi network and allows farmers to:
- connect to the machine
- start or stop treatments
- monitor the robot during operation
- adjust machine settings

Kilter Farm is the cloud platform used to organize operations and manage machines:
- plan routes and treatments
- manage fields and operations
- link machines to their farm organization
- manage users and access
The platform is also used to transfer field routes and data required for autonomous operation to the robot.
